Let’s Talk About The New Year
Hello everyone and welcome to 2024! I don’t know about the rest of y’all, but I am due for a good year. In past years I haven’t really made a resolution, but this year I took some time to think about what I want to accomplish (at least book-wise). That said, I’m not calling it a resolution because that word has so much attached to it. Let’s just call them goals. I thought we could talk about these bookish goals today a little today.
My first set of goals has to do with this very blog along with my other social media platforms. I want to grow Bookish Babe a lot this year starting with consistently posting at least once a month. I am also starting a new series called “Let’s talk about…”. This series is going to be all about ranting about bookish topics. Today’s post is the first one! I also am hoping to post more on Instagram and TikTok. You can follow me on there by clicking the icons in the top right corner.
Now for the fun part, book goals. I’ll go ahead and get the obvious out of the way. I want to read 75 books this year. I have never read this many before, but this year I got close with 73. To achieve this goal, I have another goal to flip a lot of my scrolling time for reading time. The thing is I don’t even enjoy TikTok that much, but those of you on it know how addictive it is. No more! As for the books I want to read, I have made a priority TBR for 2024 (24 books long of course). I’ll add the list down below if you’re currious. I also want to not stray away from series. I have been a big stand-alone person in the past, but I started getting into series this year.
Well, that’s it for today. I know this was a shorter post, but don’t fret there will be more this year! I have some other goals this year, but the book goals are way more interesting. I am wishing y’all a very good year, and here’s hoping we all accomplish our goals!
xoxo,
taylor
